Attended to complete my higher education as a boarding student, I studied G.N.V.Q. Advanced Sciences. This was the first year that this was run, although the class size was small the teachers were full of enthusiasm for the course.
The G.N.V.Q. style suited my style of learning, putting equal priority to theory and practical experiments with tutor guided research, measuring progress with continuous assessment. As well as the formal / traditional learning, the course gave a broad base of useful workplace skills of project management and time management.
In my second year I was made Head Girl for the Boarding School. The role involved with welcoming new students, helping with teachers/guardians when on off-site excursions, making sure that the Boarders adhered to the uniform guidelines and being an ear for any students experiencing personal troubles.
Was an active member of the student lead Anti-Bullying council for the sixth form site.
